Sa philosophie
My philosophy statement on Education
When I was a student I observed that the best teachers were those who were really passionate about teaching. Passion is one of the most fundamental components of effective teaching. Also, being wellprepared for class is essential. A teacher should be able to recognize how students learn best at a group and on their individual level. In every classroom you will find different learners with different learning styles and abilities.
When there is a need for personal one to one interaction a learning support teacher can be
helpful. They can focus on children who need a little bit more attention and help because of
learning difficulties or disabilities, while the teacher carries on leading the whole class. I believe that the learning support teacher has a special position because of the impact on student’s school careers. Every child is unique and has his own needs and potentials. As a teacher I will help the children to develop their potentials and provide a caring, secure and stimulating atmosphere, so each child can grow. It is very important to make students feel comfortable asking questions. In my eyes it is important to notice that a teacher is not the primary source of information but should provide access to information. While helping students it is important that answers are not given away. We have to find the answers with maximum input from the students. As a teacher I have to be a guide and respect the needs of each child so they feel capable and experience asense of success. I have a master’s degree in special needs education and with many positive moments I experienced with my teachers in my own education, I believe I really could help students get involved in the teaching and learning process. This can only be accomplished if we learn about our students. If we do not know them, how will we be able to teach them? I want to focus on their strengths. I am sure I can make them active learners, who are responsible, respectful and believe in themselves.
